Call Block Matrix / Block Builder

This guide explains how reusable block settings are created, assigned and previewed before they appear inside the Call Flow Designer.

Used by

Trained admins and build users.

Main purpose

Control block settings without hardcoding forms.

Critical rule

Preview and test before publishing live.

Outcome

Cleaner, reusable block configuration.

Step 1 · Page overview

Understand what the Call Block Matrix controls

The Call Block Matrix defines the reusable settings fields that appear inside each call block when opened in the Call Flow Designer.

Used for: Admin configuration of block forms.
Important: This can affect live builder behaviour.

Step 2 · Choose block

Select the block you want to configure

Choose a block such as Create Record, Send SMS, Ring Person, Book Appointment or CRM Lookup to review its assigned fields.

Check first: Confirm the correct block is selected.
Best practice: Do not edit live-use blocks casually.

Step 3 · Enabled fields

Review the fields currently enabled on the block

Enabled fields are the settings users will see when they open that block in the Call Flow Designer.

Remove: Only remove fields when you understand the runtime impact.
Order: Keep important fields near the top.

Step 4 · Reusable library

Add fields from the reusable field library

Reusable fields keep labels, options, defaults and help text consistent across multiple blocks.

Reusable: One field definition can support several blocks.
Admin note: Use clear labels and help text.

Step 5 · Preview

Check the Builder Form Preview

The preview shows how the selected block settings form will appear inside the Call Flow Designer.

Preview first: Check the form before testing in the designer.
